The City of Arcata invited the public to send Valentine’s Day cards to seniors

ARCATA, Calif. (KIEM)- The City of Arcata is teaming up with the Humboldt Senior Resource Center to deliver Valentine’s Day cards to seniors in the community.

To participate, you can drop off homemade Valentine’s Day cards in the water payment drop box at Arcata city hall through Tuesday, February 16th.

The Valentine’s Day cards will be given out Wednesday, February 17th during the senior lunches at the Arcata Community Center.

“It’s kind of a surprise as well,” said Heather Schmidt, the Recreation Supervisor for the City of Arcata. “So, when they get their lunches next week there will be an extra special little love message in there for them.”
