CRESCENT CITY, Calif. (KIEM)- A local non-profit dedicated to bringing community businesses, artisans, food vendor and farmers together announced the return of first Friday.

The Crescent City Downtown Divas pride themselves in promoting downtown as a vibrant destination for both residents and visitors.

The four-month long event, will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. On the first Friday of every month beginning in June.

The group is looking forward to putting on an event that will help grow culture and connection in the downtown area, and encourage the community to get out and get to know the city again.

“Just from a psychological standpoint, to start to come out of it, and to start to get back to these normal activities, it’s just so important, but as far as a city goes it’s also as equally important for us to start having some of these events to get people in town to be supporting our local businesses that have really suffered during, you know, during this whole pandemic,” said City Manager Eric Weir.

The first event is planned on Friday June 4th and ends on Friday October first.
