Clam Beach Plan

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) Humboldt County is looking into a proposal to improve accessibility at Clam Beach. The county wants to install a 5-foot-wide polyester mat along the beach access area from the north parking lot. That move would enable those with limited mobility and disabilities to travel to the edge of the beach. The mat would be adjusted for blowing sand and high tides. Officials say the plan would also bring the county into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
