THE HUMBOLDT COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TODAY VOTED TO CENSURE AUDITOR-CONTROLLER KAREN PAZ DOMINGUEZ

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calf. (KIEM)-Today, the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to censure embattled auditor-controller Karen Paz Dominguez.

The board voted 5 to 0 to reprimand her and officially express their disapproval of her conduct.

In addition to costing the county money on bad decisions… supervisors say an outside investigation found Paz Dominguez engaged in harassing and bullying behavior towards county employees.

Before voting for censure, supervisors indicated many county employees had expressed ongoing frustration with the auditor controller’s office.

“I think if we do not show respect to our employees getting paid to our employees that are being retaliated against, to our employees that are sending out now, we’re paying people to send we heard four, five, six emails with no response. No response. Who’s whose budgets are coming out of that department for no response. I’m. I’m sorry, but I would love to get along, and I think it needs to go. But we never had these problems before,” said Rex Bohn, Humboldt County 1st District Supervisor.
