PRANK SHOOTING

ARCATA, Calif. (KIEM) Arcata police sprang into action for a brief time yesterday evening, 04/13/2022, after a prank call to 9-1-1 said there was a shooting at an apartment on Ridge Road.

The bogus report claimed a woman was shot and a man was threatening to shoot himself and others. Arcata officers quickly determined it was a hoax and cleared the scene.
