STUDENTS COVID-19 LOCKDOWN

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) There are new developments involving a group of Humboldt County students on lockdown in Italy after contracting covid-19 during a spring trip. We have learned that five of those students and a chaperone flew back home last night, April 27, 2022, and arrived at Arcata Airport. However there are still other Northern Humboldt Union High School students and teachers who remain in quarantine at the Sheraton Hotel in Rome for now. That is because they are still testing positive for COVID-19. Throughout the pandemic Italian Health Authorities have been resorting to the use of hotels around Rome for the isolation of those who test positive.
