Homicide Suspect Still At Large

McKinleyville (CALIFORNIA) — The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a person of interest suspected to be involved in a shooting homicide at the 2200 block of Silverbrook Court on Monday July 3, 2023.

Deputies were called to the residency just before 5:30 pm, where a man was dead outside of the house from a gunshot wound. Local residents in Hiller Park reported seeing a man who matched a description of the suspect.

26-year-old Jasen Dwain Coley is the suspect of this investigation, and was reported to have fled the scene after the shooting. Coley is described as a while male, around 5 foot 8 inches tall, heavy-set, with brown eyes and brown hair and facial hair. Coley was last seen wearing a dark shirt, dark pants and a light colored hat. Coley could be in possession of a rifle or shotgun.

A vehicle possibly connected to Coley is a dark blue 2016 Hyundai Elantra with Tennessee license plates #015BKGM.
